The Summer issue of iFiddle Magazine is online now and ready for downloading. We’ve got the illustrious Andy Reiner I interviewed a few days ago. We talked about a lot of things like, the River of Suck, loop pedals, practicing and much more. Andy is one of the most interesting fiddlers you are going to meet.

The Spring Issue #55 is out. This time featuring Miller’s Reel Guitar backup, Festival Waltz taught by my former teacher, Wade Stockton. I hope everyone enjoys this free issue. Remember, Hallettsville is just around the corner in a couple of days. Happy fiddlin’
Many things can be learned about fiddling while thinking about Santa Claus. Mainly, you ain’t thinking about playing if you’re thinking of Santa.
In this issue we are featuring the IBMA’s Fiddle Player of the Year, Deanie Richardson. Read Ann Smith’s article about Deanie and learn the Jimmy Martin tune, Sunny Side of the Mountain.
Kelli Trottier was interviewed and teaches her original tune, For the Birds. Kelli is a Canadian fiddler, stepdancer and entertainer.
The inspired fiddler, Vi Wickam from [my]Talent Forge teaches the tune Blackberry Mountain. Check out Vi and Paul Anastasio’s new album, Swinging at the Savoy.
Hello fiddlers everywhere! This issue just came out and it’s a good one. It’s summer here in South Texas and it feels like it’s summer everywhere. This is a hot issue with some of the best fiddlers on the planet. For starters, there’s Lora Staples from Red Desert Violin. A wonderful performer and teacher. I interviewed Lora and it was an amazing conversation. Lora is teaching Jerusalem Ridge in this issue, and she really breaks it down. There is seven videos to this tutorial and every one is fantastic.
Next, the wonderful fiddler, teacher and composer, Natalie Padilla is featured in an exclusive interview I did with her. Natalie has much to say about fiddling, teaching, composing and all things about becoming a better musician. She teaches the tune, Cranberry Rock, the Burl Hammons classic.
To wrap it all up, the master himself, Vi Wickam, of [my]Talent Forge is featured in a one of a kind interview. It was so much fun talking with Vi and getting his perspective on all things, fiddling included. After Vi did his 365 Fiddle Tunes a Day a few years ago, he inspired many other fiddlers to do something similar. You can sign up and get all those fiddle tunes here: 365 DAYS OF FIDDLE TUNES

Here is something I found that’s interesting. It’s a number of American tunes from the ’40’s with history about each one. If you’d like to grab a copy :Click Here
Greetings fiddlers. This is an update to the CV-19 that’s been plaguing the world. The update is, that although this CV-19 is a real threat, there are other threats that are far more sinister. I’m talking about bad intonation. That’s right.
This may be my biggest issue playing fiddle. My intonation is very bad. It’s also contagious. That’s why I’m listening to fiddlers with great intonation these days. One thing I’ve done is to put together the special Spring Issue of iFiddle Mag. I’ve gathered some of the best fiddlers on the planet to play and talk about what they did during this “pandemic”. Here are some of them: Justin Branum, Darol Anger, Katie Glassman, Shelby Eicher, Vi Wickam, Todd Ehle, Fiddlehed, and the list goes on.
Pick up a copy and listen to these fine players.
